Extensive historical and ongoing primary fieldwork prove that dating apps suck. No, not in a pleasurable gaspy-crying-for-air-wow-can-you-keep-doing-that way, but in a draining-your-humanity-and belief-in-humanity-what-a-royal-waste-of-time way. Solution: ‘Hinder’, my unintuitive dating app, a concept I birthed (sic) since 2015/2016. Unlike Tinder, this disobedient app counters human instinct to turn inwards. Instead, Hinder forces user to meet people outside of professional/socio-political/cultural/disciplinary norms.
Now that’s a smart app.
