Royal Society of the Arts blog post contextualising RUN! RUN! RUN! Biennale 2016. Responding to the (anti-) migrant crisis and referendum results, I turned to new allies for the 2016 run, and explored gender, ageing, the city and borders. This was co-curated with #r3fest alumni, artists Dr Carali McCall (London-based Canadian) and Annie Grove-White (Cardiff-based retired academic). Through a film screening, seminar and performance at Leeds Arts University, UCL and National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cardiff, we shared and discussed the work of 30 artists, academics and runners from 18 institutions, including a 76 year old retired psychologist.
